Coalition for Improving Transparency in Extractive Industries is conducting  “ improving transparency of oil revenue expenses” project, financed by Baku Embassy of Norway Kingdom. One of the five planned directions within the project is organizing talk shows in local TV s. In this direction third shooting of program was held in 24th may in Kapaz TV of Ganja. Coalition’s coordinator Gubad Ibadolgu  has participated in the talk show as an expert.

Below topics were discussed in the talk show:

1. Azerbaijan’s oil strategy,  its near time targets,
2. The role of civil society in providing transparency of oil revenue expenses,
3. Impact of productive managing of oil revenue on Azerbaijan citizens’ social situation,
4. Oil treaties and BTC- What do we know about it?
5. Oil revenue’s role in developing of Azerbaijan’s regions and in solution of social-economic problems.

We should note that, besides above mentioned topics, questions concerned Ganja population  were discussed as well. Changes connected with increasing cost of oil in world market, seeking ways of efficient  utilization of oil revenue in background of problems  occurred in Azerbaijan connected with rising prices, researching the most progressive mechanisms of means in social reforms implemented in country, searching alternative  sources to oil-people’ s national reserve  that will be exhausted, if bitter experiences are characteristic for Azerbaijan or not that happened in some oil exporter countries, possibility of implementation  experiences in Azerbaijan executed in developed countries for the purpose of improving social welfare of population and etc.

30 People from local population have participated in the shooting of program.

Talk Show will be demonstrated at 19:00, in 28^th may, on  Kapaz TV of Ganja.
