Agenda and decisions approved

1. On the state of implementation of the decisions approved at the previous meeting

Mr Sabit Baghirov provided information in this respect.

2. Information on the campaign being carried out by the Coalition

Mr Oqtay Gualaliyev, the chairman of the working group on the campaign, provided information about the measures that had been already taken. Participants of the meeting were circulated the latest issue of the bulletin concerning the campaign. After, discussions were held over a conference to take place on October 20th, in the framework of the campaign. Different proposals were submitted as to who would be invited in the capacity of a guest. As to the conference, it was decided that Mr Sabit Baghirov be the moderator at the gathering, while Ms Mirvari Qahramanli addressing the audience on behalf of the Coalition.

3. On the course of implementation of journalist contest

Mr Oqtay Gulaliyev said that the time of acceptance of articles was over, and it was necessary to approve members of the jury. There were determined criteria for the forming of the jury. After, there were submitted proposals concerning juror candidates. Five were elected as jurors:

Mr Qubad Ibadoqlu

Mr Azar Mehdiyev

Mr Chingiz Sultansoy

Mr Rovshan Baghirov.

It was agreed that within a month the jury would study and declare the winners among the authors who had submitted their articles for the contest. The winners would be announced and awarded at the corresponding press conference.

4. Information on draft statement of an EITI conference to be hosted in Oslo

The following proposals were admitted as amendments to the draft statement of the international conference on EITI:

1. With respect to the paragraph 11, there must be added: ??EITI should cover expenses as well...?

2. The selection group may conduct an audit themselves.
