1. Approval of contenders for and executors of the 2006 Action Plan of the Coalition

It was decided:

Groups of contenders and responsible persons were approved for the Action Plan items (4.3 and 2), which deal with the state budget. The selected were mandated to meet, draw up and submit a joint corresponding project before the next meeting of the Board. Also, a group of contenders who fail to submit their project prior to the next meeting of the Board, will immediately be deprived of the contender’s rights and be replaced with a new group of contenders

2. Discussion of a project entitled The strengthening of the legal role in the management of oil and oil revenues in Azerbaijan, which was proposed by the Himayadar (trustee) humanitarian organization, in the framework of the Action Plan

At request of Himayat Rizvangizi, the head of the Himayadar humanitarian organization, discussions of the project were postponed to the next meeting of the Board.

3. Discussion of the results of an EITI poll (G. Ibadoghlu)

G. Ibadoghlu briefed the audience about the results of the poll and added that the corresponding presentation would be made at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, on February 17th, 10:00 am till 1:00 pm, to lay the results open to the public and respondents themselves, particularly, oil companies, state agencies and NGOs. On the same day, the project findings will be made public and disseminated among participants. A corresponding booklet, to be published, will also include subsequent comments and explanations.
