  1. Information about the 26 August meeting of the EITI international consultative group held in London (Sabit Bagirov).

  2. Information about the courses organized for journalists (Ingilab Ahmadov);

  3. Information about preparatory work for the journalistic competition (Ogtay Gulaliyev);

  4. To discuss the working plan of the council for August and September.

Decisions taken at the sitting

  1. To translate and distribute among the members of the coalition the documents discussed by the International Consultative Group in connection with the future of the EITI, taking into account Sabit Bagirov’s report on the meeting of the EITI International Consultative Group held in London on 26 August. To urge the coalition as a whole and individual NGOs to participate in discussions on the future of the EITI.

  2. Ingilab Ahmadov’s report on the course organized for journalists was heard out and proposals were adopted on the better organization of that course to be held on September 5-7 for three days.

  3. Ogtay Gulaliyev’s report on preparatory work on the conduct of the journalistic competition was heard out and it was regarded as advisable to make a decision to extend the time of the competition.

  4. The discussion of this issue was postponed till the next sitting due to the absence of some of the members of the council.
